1. Preparation
Before you start cleaning your AirPods Pro and ear tips, make sure you have some, if not all, of these tools on hand:
- A soft, dry cloth or microfiber cloth.
- Cotton swabs or cotton buds.
- Antibacterial cotton swabs and/or antibacterial wipes.
- A soft brush.

2. Cleaning the AirPods Pro
Follow these steps to clean your AirPods Pro:
Step 1: Turn off your AirPods Pro and remove them from the charging case.
Step 2: Use a soft, dry cloth or microfiber cloth to carefully wipe the outside of your AirPods Pro.
Step 3: To clean the speaker grilles, use a dry brush with its soft side. Gently brush over the speaker grilles to remove any dirt or dust. Be careful not to damage any of the internal components.
Step 4: Use a dry cotton swab to clean the contact points (charging contacts) on your AirPods Pro, and then repeat the process with an antibacterial cotton swab. Gently wipe them to remove any dirt or oil. Be sure not to use too much liquid and avoid getting any liquid into the speaker grilles or microphones.
Step 5: Let your AirPods Pro air dry for a few minutes before placing them back into the charging case.
3. Cleaning the ear tips for Apple AirPods Pro
Follow these steps to clean your AirPods Pro ear tips:
Step 1: Remove the ear tips from your AirPods Pro by gently pulling them outward from one side at a time, for example, from right to left.
Step 2: Inspect the ear tips carefully to detect any dirt or sticky residue.
Step 3: Use a soft, damp cloth or microfiber cloth with a little water to gently wipe the ear tips. Try to use as little liquid as possible if you are using our ear tips of memory foam to avoid damaging the outer material.
